Workers and creativity: How to improve working conditions by participative methods?

Federation of European Ergonomics Societies (FEES) invites you to take part in a joint conference organized by FEES, European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) and Belgian Ergonomics Society (BES) in Brussels, on 26th and 27th of June 2017. It starts Monday afternoon at 13:30- hours until 17:30 hours and on Tuesday it starts at 09:00 hours until 17:00 hours. The theme of this conference is: “Workers and creativity: How to improve working conditions by participative methods?”

The conference focuses on the issues of creativity related to the improvement of the working conditions by workers and worker representatives participation.

The conference will be in English and French languages.

The conference aims:

  • To promote ergonomics and ergonomists at European and national scale,
  • To develop relationships between European and National ergonomics level,
  • To extend relationships between EU bodies and FEES.

Lectures will be made by Ergonomists from National Societies, Trade Unionist from different countries and also from representatives of EU bodies.

The final program will be published and the registration will be in April.

Registration of the participants is free of charge. Due to the limited numbers of seats, FEES member societies are invited to send the names of their representatives to the conference, as soon as possible.

Beside the conference, the FEES annual council will take place on the 25th and 26th June 2017.

The formal FEES council will be held in Brussels (on the premises of the ETUI building) on Monday morning the 26th from 09.00 until 13.00 hours.

An informal FEES networking meeting will take place on Sunday evening, the 25th of June from 18.00 until 21.00 hours in a location close to the ETUC building (near Brussels North station).

All the FEES member societies are invited to save the date and to send delegates to the FEES Council. A formal invitation and useful documents will be send in due time.

In addition to the usual issues (such as the discussion of the financial report, the annual report; …) the FEES Council has to elect this year a new treasurer due to the end of the mandate of the present treasurer, Reinier Hoftijzer. The federated societies are invited to propose candidates for this important position.
