Storytelling about Ergonomics & Human Factors

The executive board began to work in seminars in 2019. The first one was held in Berlin. Three seminars happened since then. Each time, two working days were organized. Because the executive board is scattered throughout Europe (France, Hungary, Serbia, Portugal), this moment of intense cooperation has been very productive and appreciated. Of course, the Covid period impeded that, but they quickly returned. More specifically, the seminar held in Brussels in 2021 was used to settle the last details for the FEES move from Dortmund to Brussels. The executive board had the strong support of Alain Piette (BES) and Klaus Bengler (GfA). The last seminar ended on the 6 March this year. Many topics were processed: paperwork in Belgium, survey with members, industry 5.0, Machinery directive,… Since then, the executive board has settled the roadmap until the yearly council meeting, which will take place on the 18th of September. Among all these topics, we addressed getting closer to the members and being more responsive to their issues by different means. In this line, one of the actions we started is to bring you a more personal story along with our more regular news.

We hope that it makes reading interesting, and we welcome any feedback you may have. If you are brave enough to share your own story, be our guest!

This initiative aims to share ergonomic experiences. To encourage you, here is our first short real story, this one from a more relaxed, humorous perspective. The actors will remain anonymous, ashamed by the event.

Please send your stories to the president.
