The Croatian Ergonomics Society (CrES), founded in 1974, plays a central role in the development and promotion of ergonomics and human factors in Croatia and across Europe. The Society actively supports the integration of ergonomics into professional practice, higher education, and interdisciplinary research, while fostering collaboration with international partners and organisations such as FEES and the International Ergonomics Association.
CrES is committed to strengthening the ergonomics community through a wide range of activities, including lectures, seminars, academic programs, and international cooperation. A key focus is the continuous improvement of professional standards and the exchange of knowledge between academia, industry, and practitioners.
One of the Society’s flagship initiatives is the long-standing International Ergonomics Conference series, which has been organised since 2001. These conferences bring together researchers and professionals from around the world to share advances in areas such as physical and cognitive ergonomics, safety, wellbeing, and human-centred design.
As an active member of FEES, CrES contributes to strengthening European collaboration in ergonomics, supporting joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and the development of the discipline across national borders.
